What a Weekend!

We spent this past weekend in Winston Salem, NC visiting one of my DH's best friends. His daughter was celebrating her 7th birthday so we figured it would be a good opportunity for us to visit, considering that they had been asking us to come down for months and we never had gotten the chance to go. We left on Friday and got stuck in traffic. What should have been a 5 hour trip (according to my DH's friend) ended up being a 6.5 hour trip. Then once we were down there, the weekend flew by. Unfortunately we never got to visit the historic area of Winston Salem and I was kinda hoping we would. And all I can say about the trip home is traffic, traffic, traffic. Yes, there were 2 or 3 accidents. It took us about 6.5 hours as well to get home.

Now that I am back home, all I can say is that I am glad to be back. Have you ever had one of those trips where you come home not sure how you feel about it all. Well, that is kind of how I feel. After a very interesting weekend to say the least, I am simply glad to be home.

Ok, so this is my first post in my very own Blog. I can't believe I actually have a Blog because I could never see myself having one. I always told myself, who would want to read about my boring life. But here I am typing up my first post in my new Blog.

Because of Jessica, I now have a place to publish online what is going on in my life. So, thanks Jessica. I guess we will see how this works out... :)
